Členové týmu
David Šmahel, Ph.D. je profesorem na Fakultě sociálních studí a na Fakultě informatiky Masarykovy univerzity v Brně. Je vedoucím Interdisciplinárního výzkumu internetu a společnosti, který se zabývá socio-psychologickými dopady internetu a technologií. Jeho aktuální výzkum se zaměřuje na využívání internetu adolescenty a dospělými, online rizika u dětí a adolescentů, konstrukce identit na internetu a virtuální vztahy, online závislosti, a výzkumné metody kyberprostoru. Je editorem časopisu Cyberpsychology: Journal of Psychosocial Research on Cyberspace a spoluautorem knihy Digital Youth: The Role of Media in Development.
David publikoval výzkumné články v prestižních mezinárodních časopisech, jako Developmental Psychology, Cyberpsychology & Behavior, Zeitschrift für Psychologie, European Journal of Developmental Psychology a další. Přispěl kapitolami do knih jako Encyclopedia of Cyber Behavior, Encyclopedia of Adolescence, Internet Addiction: A Handbook and Guide to Evaluation and Treatment, Gesundheit und Neue Medien a další. David Šmahel je také jedním z organizátorů každoroční konference Cyberspace. Je také vedoucím projektů EU Kids Online a WP4: Exploring children’s understanding of risk in EU Kids Online III.
