Consortium meeting of the ySKILLS project

Natálie Terčová and David Šmahel participated in the consortium meeting of the ySKILLS project in Leuven, Belgium, from the 10th to the 11th of November 2022. They discussed the project's development, planned the following steps, and shared the latest results. Natálie Terčová presented findings on the link between digital skills and cyberhate exposure among adolescents. David Šmahel led discussions on the theoretical model with the project partners.

European Youth Skills project (ySKILLS) starts from the observation that digitization is changing society and requires a new set of digital skills, which many children and adolescents currently do not master. This can negatively affect their educational, informational, and social inclusion and wellbeing. Longitudinal and robust academic research on children’s and adolescents’ digital uses, the use context, and its impact is lacking on national and European levels.
