Projects
ReDiKid: Resilient Kid in Digital World
The project focuses on strengthening children's resilience. In today's world, children's resilience extends beyond coping with physical, psychological, and social challenges—it also includes navigating digital risks and opportunities. The project aims to conceptualize children's resilience, explore its relationship with risky behaviors, and analyze key external and internal factors such as physical activity, digital literacy, and the school environment.
The findings will inform the development of targeted intervention and educational programs designed to enhance children's and adolescents' physical, psychological, and social resilience. These programs may include promoting physical activity, healthy sleep habits, digital literacy, and social skills. The project will also offer workshops and training sessions for parents, educators, and professionals working with children and adolescents.
Another outcome of the project will be a research methodology that sets new standards for studying resilience and children's physical and digital behavior. Additionally, legal analyses will provide recommendations for updating the Czech Republic's legal framework to strengthen children's protection in the digital environment.
The project is a collaboration between three Czech universities: Palacký University Olomouc, Masaryk University, and the University of Hradec Králové. It is structured around three key research objectives:
- Developing a theoretical framework for understanding children's resilience.
- Conducting multidisciplinary empirical research on the dynamic development of resilience and its associated factors.
- Developing innovative research methodologies.
