The conference featured thematic sessions focused on the development of mHealth and eHealth interventions, misinformation about health on the internet and communication of health information, and conversely, the evaluation of the impact of popular mHealth apps or the use of technology (mainly smartphones) in terms of the psychology of health and well-being of users. Adéla presented the poster Health anxiety in adolescents: the roles of online health information seeking and parental health anxiety.
"Research-wise, I'm always on the edge of internet psychology and health psychology. So it was valuable for me to venture into the latter community, to see what's new in the field and to be able to discuss my own research from that perspective. Subjectively, I really enjoyed the friendly and informal atmosphere of the conference, even though it was a huge event with a very packed agenda. For example, there was a "Challenge Night", which was a stand-up of the best participating academics on their research missteps and embarrassments."
Ady adds that Bremen is also a beautiful and cosy city full of life, so every spare moment she had there was something to explore.
