Basic information

Tomas Kratochvil is a work psychology postdoc, a researcher at IRTIS and a solution-focused therapist. Tomas aims to interconnect all these interests which is why he speacializes on occupational healthy psychology in the context of modern technologies. Tomas was the principal investigator in an IGA MUNI project for Ph.D. candidates, wherein he examined gamification effect on performance in work tasks. He also collaborated on the research project about antecedents of psychological capital. His most important results are that gamification research needs to pay more attention to subjective performance. Concurrently, he focuses on factors that either support or hinder workers' recovery, particularly technology-assisted supplemental work.

Tomas enjoys writing and translating literature, playing video and boardgames, attending conventions and cosplaying. During leasure time, he likes to visit galleries and museums.
